Activities
Magical wands
Supplies:
- Pre-cut stars (assorted colors)
- Long, thin, wooden or plastic ticks
- Markers
- Glue
- Glitter
- Jewels
- Tape
Prior to the party have a craft table set up with a basket of pre-cut stars in different colors, long thin wooden or plastic sticks, markers, glue, glitter, and jewels. As the guests begin to arrive assist them with decorating their very own magical fairy wands. Once the children have completed decorating their wands attach the stars to a stick with tape. This is not only a great activity to start the party but these wands make the perfect take home gift as well.
Pixie Hide and Seek
Supplies:
- Various winged stuffed or plastic toys
- 1-Fairy toy
This is a great game for an indoor or outdoor party! Before the party begins hide various winged stuffed or plastic toys and one fairy around the party area. Gather everyone and explain to them that a fairy is missing and they must help you find her. The guest to find the fairy wins. The prize for this game can either be the fairy they found or another prize of your choice.
Musical Dragonflies
Supplies:
- Enough chairs for each guest -1
- Construction paper
- CD player/stereo
- Party music
Get the party started with an all time favorite game! Have one less chair than there are players available. Dress up the back of each chair with small construction paper wings. Arrange the chairs in a circle and be sure to leave enough space between each chair for walking. Turn on some fun party music and have the kids walk around the outside of the circle. Once the music stops the players are to race for a dragonfly. The player left without a dragonfly leaves the game. You then remove one chair and repeat. The last player in the game wins a prize.
Fairy Freeze Dance
Supplies:
- CD player/stereo
- Party music
Let them get fairy crazy! Designate an open space in the party area as the dance floor and have a stereo with fun party music close by. Gather all your guests onto the dance floor and explain to them that once the music starts they are to dance and flutter around as silly as they can, but when the music stops they have to freeze right where they stand. The person to move while the music is stopped is out. The last person on the dance floor wins a prize.
