Title: A little disappointed

Date: Nov 08, 2011

The costume is very cute. I liked that it came with the pants, shirt w/ attached vest and cape. Unfortunately, the lights only worked the first time we tested them and never would work again. The lights are what prompted me to purchase the costume. My son looked really great in the costume especially when we added the vampire teeth and creepy makeup. He did get lots of compliments but it would have been really cool had the lights worked as they should have.

Title: Another Great Buy

Date: Nov 06, 2011

My daughter decided that she wanted to be a real vampire, not a pretend girl vampire. She was quite the hit in this outfit.

Title: Worst Costume Ever

Date: Nov 02, 2010

When the costume arrived in the mail, it was great. The lights worked wonderful and I was sure it was going to be a hit this halloween. The costume was very wrinkled when we took it out of the package. I threw the cape and pants in the dryer. The shirt/vest couldn't be thrown in the dryer due to the fiber optic lights on the vest. So, I turned my iron on the lowest setting, and placed a double folded pillow case over the top of the shirt before pressing. It was the most difficult thing I have ever tried to iron, and....while trying to iron the collar of the shirt, there was some type of glue substance on the back of the collar (I am assuming to make it stiff??) Well with just a very little heat, iron still on low and a doubled pillow case over the shirt, that glue melted around the collar and it stuck together in all of the wrong places. It looked like a mess!! The seams were out in the back of the cape, that I had to sew together. The shirt ripped while my son was slipping it over his head, and as a last minute fix, I had to take scotch tape and tape the shirt back to the vest where it had ripped about a 4 inch seam in the shirt. There were so many last minute repairs, that we were late going out for trick or treating, and my son had less than an hour to go around the nieghborhood before the deadline occured for trick-or-treating. We should have had 3 1/2 hours, but thanks to this very cheaply made costume, we had less than 1 hour to go out trick or treating. And, last but certainly not least, the minute we walked out the door, wouldn't you know that the lights stopped working. That was the part that excited him the most, and he never got to show one person how his vest lit up, because......it didn't work either. That is why my son picked out this costume, because he wanted something that would light up, that would stand out, and be different. The entire reason he opted for this vampire costume was the fiber optic lights on the vest, and he was so upset, and I just felt like crying when he pushed the button and the lights wouldn't come on. It was very irritating to have so many things go wrong with one costume that was brand new!! I am a single mother trying to make enough money just to pay our bills, and it was really a stretch for us to pay the $40 for this costume. I had to use my bill money to pay for this costume that didn't last long enough for him to put it on, much less to wear it out. This was the worst experience I have ever had with an order from your company. This was a defective costume, that ended up costing me over $40 by the time I paid shipping and handling charges. Speaking of shipping and handling charges, I paid extra for the 3 day expedited shipping, which only took 6 days to arrive, I can't imagine how long it would have taken if I hadn't paid for expedited shipping, we would have missed halloween all together. I have been a devout customer in the past, but if this is any indication of how cheaply you are "throwing" together your costumes now....then I will NOT be ordering from you again. I will also be telling all of my friends how horrible this costume turned out. I would have returned it, but after paying for expedited shipping, it didn't arrive until the day before halloween, so there wasn't time to return it for an exchange, very disappointed!!! What a waste!!! Think twice before you order this costume!!!

Title: Very poor quality

Date: Nov 01, 2010

My son was very excited about this costume. However, it is very poorly made. It arrived in the packaging with the cape separating (or never was properly sewn) from the collar. We couldn't even figure out how the "silk" shirt was supposed to lay correctly. The pants were horrible. We loved the print on the inside of the cape and used it, cut the front of the vest off of the attached shirt and pinned it to a white button up shirt we already owend. Paired it all with dark jeans and my son looked great. So, thumbs up for the light up blood on the vest and the print on the inside of the cape. Otherwise, thumbs down. Sorry!

Title: Love this costume!

Date: Oct 18, 2010

My son wanted a vampire costume and this was perfect. The lights give it a very nice touch and the cape is made of good material. Very age appropriate for young children and the costume comes complete.

Title: Good Purchase

Date: Sep 21, 2010

Costume fit my son perfectly. Little disappointed with the lights. Didn't receive any instructions for the lights. How to turn on or off. Would not order this costume again, but would order again from Costume Express.

Title: Awesome vampire

Date: Jul 19, 2010

My son saw this and had to have it for Halloween. He is only 6 but tall for his age. The 7-8 size is slightly big, but with the waitband and velcro on sleeves it will last for more than one year. He loves the scary, light up chest with blood drips and I love that the cape has shouldering pleats so the cape stays on his shoulders at the right angle. What a wonderful costume!

Title: Great Costume

Date: Sep 12, 2009

Bought this for my grandson for Halloween. It fits great and looks super. He tried it on and loves it. He's going to be the best Trick or Treater in the neighborhood. The flashing blood is really cool.
