How to Decorate with Crepe & Fluffy Decorations

Streamer curtain canopies are a stand-out decoration that you can fully customize to match your party theme. Start by gathering your supplies. You’ll need several rolls of crepe (in your favorite colors), tape and fishing line (Pro-Planner Tip: If you will be hanging this decoration from a painted/stained surface, you will want to test your tape – be sure that the adhesive is strong enough to hold the crepe to the ceiling, but that it won’t remove the finish). Begin hanging crepe paper strips (be sure to cut them longer than you need so you are able to achieve the look as shown) approximately 2 feet away from the wall. To create the “curtain” effect, it is important to keep the pieces very close together. Once you have enough crepe paper strips to cover the desired area, create the “bend” in the curtain by pulling all of the pieces to the wall with a piece of fishing line – keep it taut. Secure the fishing line and create a “billowing effect” by evenly pulling out pieces of crepe to allow a “slack” in the individual streamers.
